Gans

A celebratory roast goose dinner, usually flavored with lots of herbs and citrus, can be an explosion of herbal and fruit flavors. The game flavor profile and higher fat content of this meat compared to other poultry means you can be a bit bolder with your wine choices when pairing with goose.

Typically, red wine goes best with goose and all the trimmings. On the red wine side, a Pinot Noir, Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, St. Laurent or a cuvée blend of these compliments goes very well with geese. If you enjoy white wine more, a barrique-aged Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc or Grüner Veltliner are just a few examples, and all of our rosé wines go very well together.
